La Macarena Holiday Home is just a 7 min walk from the centre of the city. FREE Parking is available. We are very easy to find, a straight 5 min drive from the Aiport. We can do pick ups or drop offs FREE if required. The train station is also closeby.

La Macarena Chambres d’Hotes is just a 7 min walk from the centre of the city. We currently offer a 2 bedroom Family Suite (Sleeps 4) on the 2nd Floor with private hallway and shower room/toilet. Tea/Coffee making facilities and WiFi throughout the property.

We also welcome cyclists and have safe and ample parking for bikes. If you are organising bike drop off before your arrival just let us know.

La Cité is the hightlight of a trip to Carcassonne but the beautiful Canal du Midi should not be missed. You can spend a morning in the Castle followed by a lazy french lunch and some fantastic wine and an afternoon in the Bastide and on the Canal.
During the summer there are lots of free concerts and events as well as paid. In the Autumn it is a little quieter and that is followed by the Christmas Festival which transforms Carcassonne into a festive family spot with outdoor ice skating and lots of fun things to do and see.
You can take a map and explore Carcassonne or you can take guided tours. There are lots of interesting and fun options to choose from. Historical tours, wine & chocolate tours or simply explore the Castle and city in your own time! You can even travel in the footsteps of the Kate Mosse books Labyrinth, Citadel and Sepulchre. Grab a map and sit at Place Carnot with a coffee in the morning sun and plan a wonderful day exploring, eating and drinking.
